No, you have probably seen them around McDonald's though Here's some good info on them. I'm not too sure about their numbers in the northwest, but in many places they are a huge problem in the yard. They kill songbirds, and are an introduced parasitic species, so they aren't protected by the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

no, they're more a white and black little thing, my mom always called them starlings. but I have seen the damage they do at hotels, apartments and the like. Maybe not them but something like them.

we do have a lot of woodpeckers though.
